Adrian Delia Raises €7,000 In One Hour To Buy ACs For Puttinu Patients In London
In the span of an hour, PN leader candidate Adrian Delia managed to raise €7,000 to purchase 12 portable air conditioners for the Puttinu apartments in Sutton.
Delia appealed to the public for help after receiving a message from an old friend, whose son is currently in London for medical treatment.
“He told me that there are no ACs in their apartment and that the weather in London could spike to close to 40°C in the coming days. He told me that 12 portable ACs (one for each apartment) would cost around €7,000.”
Delia donated €500 from his own leadership race fund and appealed to the public for their help in reaching the final amount.
An hour later, he announced that the €7,000 figure had already been exceeded and that he would formally donate the amount to Puttinu.
“Maltese hearts are truly big,” he said.
