Adrian Delia Reports Alex Borg Supporter To Police For Comment About His Son

Adrian Delia filed a police report against a supporter of Alex Borg for posting a Facebook comment about his son.
Peter Dacoutros, a well-known chef who endorsed Borg, posted the comment under a Malta Independent article penned by Emmanuel Galea, whose daughter Cynthia Galea is Delia’s partner.
Galea’s article claimed that the PN establishment backed Borg to prevent Delia, “the outsider they couldn’t control”, from winning the leadership election.

Dacoutros commented that “His [Emmanuel Galea’s] only aim is to demean and destroy the PN. And when one considers that he is the grandfather of Adrian’s child, then this becomes cruel and shameful.”
Viewing this as an attack on their son, Delia and Cynthia Galea filed a police report against Dacoutros, who deleted his comment.
Delia then publicly called out the comment.
“You have to sacrifice a lot to serve in politics, but someone who is willing to attack your children has truly sunk to the lowest level,” he said.
“Is it possible that even children must end up as targets of personal attacks?”
Delia told Lovin Malta that he has raised a complaint with the party, seeing as Dacoutros serves on a PN committee, and is awaiting a response.
