After Keith Schembri Suddenly Drops Libel, PN Youths ‘Locate’ 17 Black Owner In Disneyland
After Keith Schembri dropped a three-year libel against former PN leader Simon Busuttil over corruption allegations, the Nationalist Party’s youth wing has posted a location update of another man at the centre of the whole saga.
“While Keith Schembri was sweating blood in court to avoid testifying about 17 Black, the owner of 17 Black [Yorgen Fenech] is currently enjoying full freedom at Disneyland Paris,” the MŻPN said.
The cropped-out photo of Fenech at Disneyland was posted on Facebook last week by the businessman’s brother.
Fenech was last year revealed to be the owner of 17 Black, one of two Dubai companies that, according to a leaked email, was supposed to transfer large sums of money into Schembri’s and Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi’s Panama companies.
Leaked documents from the FIAU also showed how 17 Black received $200,000 in payments from Mario Pullicino, the Maltese agent of the LNG tanker in Delimara, and $1.4 million by an Azeri security guard.
This raised eyebrows because of Fenech’s role as a shareholder in Electrogas, the consortium running the Delimara power station, which also includes Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.
Schembri confirmed last year that 17 Black, as well as the second Dubai company Macbridge, had been included in draft business plans for his business group as potential clients. The identity of the owner of Macbridge remains a mystery.
