Air Malta Flight To Vienna Makes Emergency Landing After Running Into Technical Problems
A Vienna-bound Air Malta flight was forced to return to Malta and make an emergency landing after encountering “technical difficulties” while in mid-air.
In a statement, the Malta International Airport said that Air Malta flight KM 514, which left Malta at 7:15am, landed safely at 8:07am.
“Malta International Airport’s Rescue and Fire-Fighting Team was dispatched to the site immediately. Passengers disembarked the aircraft safely shortly after landing,” the statement read.
“Airport operations have not been affected by this emergency landing.”
“Malta International Airport would like to thank the airport team and all stakeholders for their timely response to this morning’s incident.”
An investigation is currently underway.
