Alex Borg Emerges As Clear PN Leader Favourite In Lovin Malta Poll
Around 2,700 people took part in a Lovin Malta poll on whether Alex Borg or Adrian Delia should be elected PN leader.
The poll was not intended as a scientific survey and was open to the general public, whereas only PN tesserati can vote for a leader.
However, it was intended as an initial snapshot of public opinion right after it was confirmed last weekend that the election would be contested.
Borg emerged as the clear favourite.
Over 81% of respondents said that the young Gozitan MP should succeed Bernard Grech as PN leader, while only 16% said Delia should return to the top party job.
Borg has emerged as the clear frontrunner in multiple tesserati surveys and online polls. However, with the election set to take place in September, there is ample time for Delia to turn the tide in his favour.
