Alleged Domestic Abuser Shoots Dead Three Police Officers In France
A 48-year-old man shot at and killed three police officers who were responding to a domestic violence incident in Saint-Just, France.
The police officers were attempting to help a woman who had fled to the roof of the house, when the perpetrator opened fire and then proceeded to set fire to the house.
The perpetrator also injured a fourth police officer.
The three victims of the incident were aged 21, 37, and 45. A manhunt is currently underway for the suspect.
The prosecutor’s office stated that the 21-year-old officer, Arno Mavel, was initially shot dead shortly after midnight. Another officer was injured at around the same time.
37-year-old Remi Dupuis and 45-year-old Cyrille Morel were killed after arriving at the scene.
Firefighters were at the scene to try to control the fire.
