American Man Assaulted ‘By Seven Bouncers’ After Leaving Bag In Paceville Bar

An American man who was in Paceville over the weekend was assaulted by “seven bouncers” after he left his property inside the bar and went back inside to retrieve it.

Speaking to Lovin Malta, Dorian Lambert, a 25-year-old US citizen working and living in Malta, explained what happened to him last night.

His medical report card, shown to Lovin Malta, list the injuries Lambert suffered, including lacerations across his cheeks, face and lips.

After realising he had left his bag inside a popular Paceville bar, he spoke to the manager to let him back in, which he allowed him to do so.

“As I’m walking to the bag to pick it up, I see my coworkers bag and grab it as well,” Lambert recounted to Lovin Malta.

“As I’m walking to the door, someone all of the sudden pulls me by my hair, and in response I push and turn around to see who did it – that’s when the ambush started.”

Lambert says around six or seven people began assaulting him.

“At this point I’m yelling for them to stop. They’re yelling for me to ‘Get the fuck out’ but not letting me leave, and they beat me onto a table. I somehow manage to get out of the building but I notice that they took my coworker’s bag from me.”

“So I’m knocking on the door asking for the bag, they’re still talking crap to me, I’m mad at this point so I’m banging on the door, all of the sudden a guy that was inside hits me from behind, cracks my eye open and I’m preparing to defend myself. That’s when another person comes out to jump me again and I take off running.”

“They chased me all the way up the street but I found some other people I work with them,” he said.

Soon after, he collapsed and his friends tended to his unconscious body as they called an ambulance.

“I’ve only been here a month, I didn’t expect something like this to happen. I don’t even feel safe to leave the house now. “

After the assault, Lambert says he is scared to leave his house now.

“They have me terrified,” he said.

His friends said they’ve already noticed a change in him: “he missed church today, and he’s confused, he doesn’t understand why this happened. He’s just been laying in bed, traumatised…”

Lambert ended with a plea to Maltese authorities: “If this is an ongoing thing, then people have to be held accountable, I hope that it stops with me. The police seem to not care… I saw people at the hospital laughing and making jokes. I’m not sure if it was because I was a foreigner but I’m praying that this isn’t how foreigners are allowed to be treated in this country without someone being held accountable.”

This is far from the first assault by bouncers to happen in the party district: last December, a Colombian man was beaten by an unlicensed bouncer in Bar Native, leaving him with two facial fractures and a compromised eye.
