ALS activist Bjorn Formosa is on a winning-streak this week, and we’re super impressed. After raising around €1 million on Xarabank and getting ever closer to his final target for the second Dar Bjorn, he has now been announced as a winner of the European Citizen’s Prize for 2018. And it was his birthday last Sunday.

After presenting this award to him last Friday on Xarabank, MEP Marlene Mizzi sent a shout out to him on her Facebook page calling this “a most deserved award to an exceptional man.”

Djar Bjorn is a home for ALS, MS and neurological patients, and the new project aims to take in more patients who are currently still on the waiting list by making the premises larger.

Each year, the European Parliament awards the European Citizen’s Prize for exceptional achievements in certain areas by citizens of EU countries. Last year the Maltese winner of this prize was Għaqda Każini tal-Banda.
