RTK host Andrew Azzopardi has said Norman Lowell’s attempts to bully him won’t work after the Imperium Europa mocked and belittled him at a recent event.

Lovin Malta spoke to Azzopardi after Lowell told supporters that he had to be “cut him down to size” and that “if needs be, we will cut his suspenders so that his trousers fall”.

“I have nothing else to add to the case as it will now be up to the Courts to decide,” he said.

“Needless to say that the hundreds of people and associations that have been supporting this cause give me comfort. His bullying tactics and attempts at intimidating and inciting people in my regard will not work. I will, as I have always done, keep calling out racists and xenophobes for what they are.”

The court case was a reference to a legal challenge RTK is making against the Broadcasting Authority after it fined them €1,750 over a remark by Azzopardi that he won’t invite Lowell onto his show due to his history of racism.

Do you agree with the Broadcasting Authority’s decision?
