The Maltese Archbishop Charles Scicluna, who is well-respected for his work to stop sexual abuse and paedophilia from members of the clerical staff, has been asked to join the next plenary meeting of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Polish media has reported.

After the Do Not Be Afraid report and his success in Chile, which led 32 church members to submit their resignation to the pope (and three to be accepted), Scicluna will now be attending the Episcopate Conference.

Archbishop Scicluna has long been regarded as “the man the pope sends in” whenever the Vatican faces a major sex-abuse scandal

Poland’s child abuse scandal was further intensified after a sensational Polish documentary, Tell No One, which caused quite an uproar

The Primate of Poland, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, confirmed that Archbishop Scicluna would attend back in March.

Meanwhile, Polak’s Deputy Joanna Scheurnig-Wielgus explained that “He is not coming here for the weekend, he’s coming here to settle all these bishops” and investigate the scale of priests’ abuse of minors.
