Lionel Messi and his Argentinian squad are officially the winners of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, defeating Kylian Mbappe and his French squad in a match that will go down in history.

It didn’t take long for the match to get incredibly eventful, with Argentina going on top after a Messi penalty which was doubled by Di Maria before halftime.

But when the match restarted, France piled on the pressure, and Mbappe eventually scored two goals in two minutes, first thanks to a penalty and then thanks a crazy first-timer.

The match then went to extra time, but it was an extremely close, 109th minute goal by Messi which brought Argentina back to 3-2.

But in the 117th minute, Mbappe brought it back with another penalty, as absolute scenes unfolded at Lusail Stadium.

In the end, it was all decided on penalties, with the South American champions coming out on top 4-2.

This is Argentina’s third World Cup, and the first one since 1986.
