Arnold Cassola Announces €22,300 Campaign Spend And €9,600 In Donations
Independent MEP candidate Arnold Cassola has published a financial breakdown of his campaign for the sake of transparency.
Cassola’s transparency report shows he spent €22,332.93 over the course of his campaign, mainly on adverts, billboards, and promotional material costs.
He also declared €9,601.72 in donations, with the largest donation being a €2,000 boost to his campaign that he received on 7th May.
A 70-year-old former ADPD leader, Cassola will be hoping to upset the applecart this weekend and become the first ever non-PLPN politician to represent Malta at the European Parliament.
Surveys indicate it could be a tight race and that Cassola has a chance of making history.
“We are at the crossroads of a historic moment,” Cassola told Lovin Malta this week.
“Usually, third parties and independents only get 1%, but polls show that we have 10% combined which is a historic moment for independent Malta.”
