Australia To Deport Maltese Swinger Who Killed Multimillionaire And Chainsawed His Body

Australia will in the coming weeks deport a Maltese man at the end of his prison sentence for killing a multi-millionaire during a swingers rendezvous.
64-year-old Mario Schembri, who was born in Malta but moved to Australia at a young age, was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment in 2010 after being found guilty of the manslaughter of multibillionaire businessman Herman Rockefeller.
Schembri and his partner Bernadette Denny had answered to Rockefeller’s ad in a swingers’ magazine, for which the businessman had used a fake name.

Rockefeller had advertised as a married couple looking for discreet sexual encounters with other couples but had arrived at Schembri’s and Denny’s Hadfield home in January 2010 by himself. According to reports, he had sex with Denny on a mattress on the living room floor, while Schembri watched.
They agreed to meet again, this time with Rockefeller’s wife, but the businessman once again arrived at their house alone. Schembri later told police this second meeting ended in a fight, during which he punched Rockefeller, causing him to fall, bang his head and die.
The couple loaded Rockefeller’s body into the boot of Schembri’s car and drove to Heathcote, where they planned to dump the body, but changed their minds and went back home. They then bought a chainsaw, plastic sheets, disposable overalls, face masks and a dustpan and shovel, and Schembri used the chainsaw to dismember Rockerfeller’s body. He then burnet his remains in a 44-gallon drum in a friend’s backyard.
The manslaughter gained intensive coverage and was turned into a book
Schembri and Denny pleaded guilty to manslaughter eight months after Rockefeller’s death and were sentenced to nine years and seven years in prison respectively.
The Herald Sun has reported that Schembri’s visa was cancelled last year and that the Australian Department of Home Affairs refused to overturn its decision, despite Schembri’s pleas that he had raised a family down under. Once he is released from prison, he will therefore be deported to Malta and will be accompanied by immigration police.
