Average Gross Salary In Malta Is €3,000 Higher For Men Than It Is For Women

Men in Malta make around €3,000 more than women on average, a new study shows.

According to a new study by the National Statistics Office for 2020, the average gross salary in Malta is esteemed to be higher for men than it is for women.

In Malta, the annual average gross salary for men was €20,188, while for women, it was €17,453, creating a difference of €2,735.  

In Gozo however, the annual average gross salary for men was €17,743 while for women it was estimated at €17,462, resulting in a difference of €281.

The average gross annual basic salary for employees was estimated at €18,913 in 2020.
