A 33-year-old Belarusian woman has been hospitalised with grievous injuries after she was struck by a car last night.

The incident happened at around 6pm on Triq Tas-Sliema in Gżira.

According to a police report, the woman was struck by a Mazda Demio driven by a 24-year-old man from Msida. 

As a result of the impact, the car collided with another vehicle, a Renault Clio, parked nearby.

An ambulance arrived on site and the woman was transported to Mater Dei Hospital where it was later certified that she was suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
