Beloved Għargħur Restaurant Cent’Anni To Close As Owners Announce Retirement
After 11 years of good food, fine wine, and unforgettable moments, Rene and Sue Muscat, the couple behind Cent’Anni Bistrot in Għargħur, have decided it’s time to retire.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the couple announced, “The time has finally come to take a step back and retire gracefully from the business we love so much.”
Their last day running Cent’Anni will be 31st January, and the news has left loyal customers both surprised and emotional.
Over the years, the Muscats have served everyone from old friends to local and international personalities with one of their most memorable moments being a surprise visit from Hollywood director Ridley Scott just a few months ago.
“We’ve had so much fun over the years,” Rene shared with Times of Malta. “People are shocked that we are stepping away, but it’s time for us to move on to our next chapter.”
Since announcing their retirement, the couple has been inundated with bookings from people eager to visit Cent’Anni one last time before it closes.
As for what comes next for the cozy bistro, that remains to be seen.
Will you be visiting for one last time?
