Bernice Cassar has been identified as the 40-year-old Qrendi resident that was killed in this morning’s homicide in Raħal Ġdid.

The woman is a wife and a mother of two children. 

Police confirmed that a gun was used and three shots were fired after an argument occurred in Kordin’s industrial estate. Upon arrival, police found a lifeless body behind a parked Nissan Qashqai.

Investigations began after gunshots were heard in the early hours of the day along Triq Kordin next to the prison.

The case happened at around 8am, police have confirmed. 

A medical team was called on-site to assist, however, the woman immediately lost her life.

The aggressor fled the scene after the murder. His car was found in Qrendi where police are currently circling him.
