Long lines of standstill traffic are being reported during Boxing Day in the Northern part of Malta.

Vehicles en route to Gozo for a quick getaway ended up stuck in long queues leading up to the Gozo ferry along Dawret il-Mellieħa.

“I’m receiving messages from people stuck in Mellieħa hill on their way to Gozo. It appears that they’ve been stuck for more than an hour now,” PN MP Adrian Delia posted on social media. 

“It would be good if authorities provided some information on what’s going on here,” he appealed.

Meanwhile, the Gozo ferry is currently operating at its full capacity, with four ferries currently going non-stop between the two islands.
