A seven-year-old boy had to be hospitalised after falling around one story from a residence in Gudja.

Police were called to the residence in Triq Santa Marija at around 10.30pm last night, where they found that the boy had fallen from the top of a staircase. 

The boy was taken to Mater Dei Hospital to receive care for his injuries. It was then confirmed that he was suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
