A hunter has reportedly shot and injured two men while they were driving a van in the Mellieha countryside by the Red Tower this evening. 

TVM is reporting that the hunter fired shots through the window of the van at around 7:15pm, injuring the 29-year-old driver and his 30-year-old passenger. Both men have been rushed off to hospital for treatment. 

This was the second shooting incident today in Malta, after two men were injured in an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Tigne this morning.
