Part of the roof of Mosta’s LIDL branch collapsed this evening after hours of rain and wind ahead of another stormy week. 

According to a report on the Independent, some private vehicles were damaged following the collapse, with their owners being asked to wait for further instruction. 

TVM reported that a small tornado hit the area, with trees hitting different areas including Labour Avenue in Naxxar.

A couple of minutes ago, a couple of fire engines were seen around the Mosta bridge in the Wied Speranza valley clearing trees and other debris which were blown off in the area.
