Author Mark Camilleri has released hundreds of pages of WhatsApp message transcripts on his blog, allegedly between Daphne Caruana Galizia murder suspect Yorgen Fenech and Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar.

The alleged chats date from June to September 2019, a few months before Fenech was arrested and charged with the journalist’s murder.

From “I want to love you” to “immisjajtek”, the alleged messages depict a seemingly intimate relationship. Other messages show Cutajar offering help with a statement Fenech needed to publish following allegations made against him by former PN MP David Thake.

Cutajar told Lovin Malta that she can’t remember whether the messages were legitimate as they were sent over four years ago.

On 28th October 2021, Cutajar sued Camilleri for libel after he claimed in his book A Rent Seeker’s Paradise that she had an affair with murder suspect Yorgen Fenech to advance herself politically and that the murder suspect gave her “corrupt money” on the pretence that she helped him broker a property deal.

Police also charged Camilleri with harassing and taunting Cutajar after he warned her that he will become “her worst nightmare” unless she quits politics for good.
