Breaking: Robert Abela Tells Isabelle Bonnici Public Inquiry Into Her Son’s Death Will Be Held

The parents of 20-year-old Jean Paul Sofia have been informed by Prime Minister Robert Abela that a public inquiry into his death will finally be launched, Lovin Malta can reveal.
Speaking to Lovin Malta, the loved ones of Sofia said they felt like they were “in a dream” following this decision
The parents met Abela at Castille; the decision comes after heavy national blowback against the government for not appointing the inquiry earlier, and just hours before a rally is being held in Valletta calling for this.
The decision was also made after an urgent parliamentary group meeting held this afternoon.
The announcement with full details on how Abela intends to roll out the new inquiry will be given in a press conference this evening.
