A 44-year-old Romanian man was murdered during an argument in Paceville this afternoon.

The man was stabbed at around 3:30pm in front of a popular pastizzeria in Triq Ross and his aggressors immediately fled the scene.

He was administered first aid but succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

A police spokesperson couldn’t confirm how many people are believed to be involved in the murder, but said a manhunt is currently underway.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is holding an inquiry.
