Burger King Malta Is Encouraging Patrons To Dine At Fast Food Rivals McDonald’s
We thought we’d never see this but Burger King Malta is urging customers to buy from McDonald’s.
The UK branch of fast-food chain giant has launched a sweet advertising campaign by encouraging people to buy from independent food outlets in order, Burger King or not, to help the hundreds of staff who may be struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
And the campaign has now made its way to Malta…
“We never thought we’d be asking you to do this. Just like we never thought we’d be encouraging you to order from KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Domino’s,” it said.
“Restaurants employing hundreds of staff need your support at the moment.”
With snack-bars having to close at 11pm in light of new COVID-19 restrictions, employees may be facing tough times ahead.
That includes KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway and Domino’s and the 24/7 McDonald’s in Għargħur which will have all been hit by the new legislations.
But in an act of solidarity, the King stepped up and put aside its fast-food rivalry for the better of the industry…and we’re lovin’ it!
“If you want keep treating yourself to tasty meals through home delivery, takeaway or drive thru. Getting a Whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not such a bad thing,” it said.
As Malta continues to continues to tackle to the COVID-19 pandemic, even large corporations are setting aside their differences to help each other out.
