A bus driver has been hospitalised after crashing into a parked car in Mellieħa early this morning.

Police confirmed with Lovin Malta that the driver, a 41-year-old Indian national who lives in Qormi, crashed into a parked Mazda in Triq Ġorġ Borg Olivier at around 4:10am.

There weren’t any passengers in the parked car at the time of the accident.

Photos published by ONE News show that the bus suffered extensive damage and a crane had to be called in to move the vehicle away.
