3. American Dollars $

€2 = $2.09

Having only two American dollars to your name whilst exploring the 50 states doesn’t mean that you’re completely broke. You can get your hands on a taco from Taco Bell or half a dozen eggs for $2 and still have 9c to spare.  

4. Japanese Yen ¥

€2 = ¥281.28

The Japanese Yen isn’t doing too well at the moment, but you can buy a used CD for the equivalent of €2. Unfortunately, in Japan €2 won’t get you very far.

5. Polish Złoty zł

€2 = 9.31 zł

If all you happen to have are 9.31 zł then you can still get your hands on a small portion of chips from Burger King. Or, you can try and spot a few pennies on the ground as having 9.99 zł means you can buy a 6-piece plant-based nuggets pack. 

6. Swedish Krona kr

€2 = 21.25 kr

With wages and the cost of living being so high in Sweden, €2 won’t really get you much. But, if you shop around and look out for anything that’s on offer you can potentially get your hands on some hand soap. 

7. Swiss Franc CHF

€2 = 2.08 CHF

Venturing to Switzerland and walking into a supermarket with just €2 in your pocket will get you a pack of chocolate chip cookies. With prices usually starting from 2.95 CHF, unfortunately, there’s not much you can buy with €2. 

Bonus – Maltese Lira Lm 

€2 = 0.85 Lm  

Okay so we know that the Maltese Lira isn’t in circulation anymore and we stopped using it in 2008, but how could we leave our ex national currency out of the mix? 85c can get you four pastizzi or a couple of cartons of milk.
