‘Contract Number One’: Meet The Firm Behind The Very First Transaction On The Malta Stock Exchange
Back when the Malta Stock Exchange was established in 1992, the very first transaction was executed by Curmi & Partners and Meetinc got to interview the firm’s Chief Officer, David Curmi.
Curmi detailed the milestones in Malta’s Financial History, explaining that his father was actually one of the founding members of the Stock Exchange while Curmi & Partners executed the first transaction.
In the in-depth discussion, Curmi touched upon the major shifts in the industry, highlighting Malta’s entry into the EU as a defining moment for his company which brought more opportunity while regulating the financial sector.
“Curmi & Partners adapted to these developments, ensuring that their clients could transition smoothly from Sterling to Euro-based investments. David reflected on these transitions, emphasising how the company’s steady approach has always been in line with its dedication to client service and trust,” the interview reads.
Curmi & Partners’ core philosophy is to deliver quality investment, and despite the regulatory and financial changes imposed within the industry, this principle has not wavered.
Besides discussing the company’s past, Curmi also highlighted its future, explaining the work behind passing the leadership baton to Christina Casingena – the company’s new CEO – and where this will take the major investment management company.
