Castille And Parliament Completely Blocked Off By Barricades As Tensions Continue To Mount
Castille and Parliament have been completed barricaded off as an extreme security measure to prohibit unwanted public access to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and other politicians.
As tensions continue to mount following developments in the investigation into Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination, police have taken to beefing up security around Muscat.
Yesterday, protestors were barricaded away from Castille while journalists were locked inside a room at the Prime Minister’s office by makeshift security guards so as to ensure they don’t ask the Prime Minister further questions.
Meanwhile, a protest will be held at Castille Square this evening at 6pm. Protestors are expected to express their outrage at how the Prime Minister’s former chief of staff Keith Schembri was released from police custody yesterday. Cabinet sources have informed Lovin Malta that this decision has angered several Cabinet members.
