A cat found with shocking severe injuries has died,  One News has reported.

The cat was discovered over the weekend with its paws sawed off following an accident in a nearby field where it was injured by a harvesting machine.

It was taken to an animal hospital for treatment. However, it has now succumbed to its injuries.

Malta’s police have launched an investigation into the matter.
