Chris Cardona Says His ‘Frameup’ Letter Should Be Assessed Forensically

Economy Minister Chris Cardona has called for the letter used in his attempted frameup to be forensically analysed and tested by a calligrapher.

“The letter was apparently typed out and had scribbles on it, so while there are certainly some tests that can be done on the printed text, at the very least the handwriting should be analysed by a calligrapher,” he told Lovin Malta when contacted.

The letter was allegedly passed on from the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri to murder suspect Yorgen Fenech via their mutual doctor friend Adrian Vella.

It allegedly urged Fenech to pin journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder on Cardona.

Police sources had told Times of Malta the letter was not being forensically examined because it was deemed to be contaminated.

It has also not yet been presented in court.
