Confirmed: Man Charged With Stabbing Hugo Chetcuti Was A Former Employee

The man who stabbed Hugo Chetcuti in the middle of Paceville last weekend was his former employee, Lovin Malta can confirm.
Bojan Cmelik, 35, was charged last week with the attempted murder of Chetcuti but pleaded not guilty.
Informed sources have now confirmed with Lovin Malta that Cmelik, who hails from Serbia, used to work at two of Chetcuti’s Paceville establishments – first as a helper than as a barman.
Sources told Lovin Malta he had been dismissed by an outlet manager.
Hugo Chetcuti remains in critical condition
Police are now investigating whether Cmelik was a hired hand after several of Chetcuti’s employees told police that he had been in the vicinity all day before stabbing the Paceville mogul late at night.
CCTV footage reportedly shows that the suspect had observed the Paceville businessman’s movements in detail throughout the day before approaching him, hugging him, stabbing him twice in the stomach and running away.
