Construction Worker Fighting For His Life After Four-Storey Fall In Qawra
The 23-year-old man fell soon after Prime Minister Joseph Muscat announced a temporary suspension on all demolition and excavation works
A 23-year-old is fighting for his life after falling four storeys while working on a construction site in Qawra, on a day which also saw a building partially collapse.
The incident took place at 2:30pm on Triq Annetto Caruana, soon after Prime Minister Joseph Muscat announced a temporary suspension on all demolition and excavation works.
The man, who is a Malian national, has been taken to hospital in critical condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
With accidents and deaths becoming far more commonplace than any building collapse, will Muscat now suspend construction altogether?
