A corpse was recovered by the armed forces from the sea off Xrobb l-Għaġin at limits of Marsaxlokk.

The Malta Police Force was informed of the dead body that was spotted in the sea below Delimara at the limits of Marsaxlokk.

Upon receiving the information, the police notified the Armed Forces of Malta which used a helicopter to retrieve the body.

The body is suspected to be

female however the identity remains unknown.

The victim was wearing gym clothes.

An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, a police investigation is currently ongoing.
