In a delightful surprise, the logo of Da Michele a Forcella has made a striking appearance in Balluta, hinting at the arrival of the world-renowned Neapolitan pizzeria in Malta.
Known for its iconic red font, an ‘Opening Soon’ sign has caught the attention of passers-by in St Julian’s piazza.
Established over a century and a half ago, Da Michele has firmly held its position as a beloved pizzeria institution in Naples, earning its reputation as one of the planet’s best pizzerias.
It’s opened over a dozen different restaurants worldwide, including eight in Italy alone.
Beyond its pizza fame, Da Michele also shot to international prominence through its feature in the 2010 romantic drama film, Eat, Pray, Love.
