The db Foundation has made a major contribution to Inspire Malta, helping create calmer, more supportive learning environments for autistic children enrolled in the STEP Intensive Early Intervention (IEI) and STEP Forward programmes.

The donation will go towards installing attenuation boards at Inspire’s Bulebel Centre, reducing excessive noise that can cause sensory overload, anxiety, and difficulty focusing for children on the autism spectrum.

The improved spaces will offer a more comfortable and engaging learning experience for autistic children aged 3 to 6 years.

“At the db Foundation, we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life, particularly through a learning environment that meets their unique needs,” said db Foundation chairperson Sandra Sladden.

The initiative will directly benefit:
-STEP IEI – A structured, day-based programme helping autistic children under 5 develop essential life skills and independence.
-STEP Forward – A programme for Year 1 children, supporting their social, emotional, and communication skills.

With 139 children currently enrolled in these programmes and plans to expand to 230 by the end of the year, this support comes at a crucial time.

Inspire Malta CEO Antonello Gauci praised the donation, saying it enhances facilities, improves sensory accommodations, and transforms the learning experience for young children.

Since its launch in 2019, the db Foundation has been committed to uplifting communities through projects in education, health, social impact, and the environment
