Dead Body Found Outside Marsaskala Coast Near Hurds Bank
A cadaver has been found floating in the sea off Malta’s coast – just hours after another body was found in the sea near Gozo.
Around 3pm today, police were informed that a body was found in the sea, around 15 nautical miles from the Marsaskala coast, in the area known as Hurds Bank.
Members from the AFM went out via boat where they found a heavily decomposed cadaver. It was taken aboard their patrol boat and taken to Xatt it-Tiben.
An autopsy is set to be done on the body imminently. The identity has not yet been determined.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia opened an inquiry into the find.
