Dead Body Spotted Off Wied ix-Xaqqa, Birżebbuġa
Police have uncovered a dead body from the sea near Wied ix-Xaqqa, Birżebbuġa.
In a statement, the police said they were informed of the corpse at around 9:30am and requested the assistance of the Civil Protection Department, who recovered the body and brought it to land.
The victim was a man, and an autopsy will take place to establish his identity and cause of death since the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition.
