Despite 20,000 Vote Advantage, PL Economist Still Labels Party As Underdogs

Though the latest political survey places the incumbent Labour Party in a comfortable lead of 20,000 votes, some party members still feel like they are at a disadvantage.

“Despite the 20,000 vote difference we still remain the underdogs, always,” Clint Azzopardi Flores said, sharing an image of the voter breakdown.

“Let’s keep our feet on the ground and close to people. That’s our mission.”

Azzopardi Flores has been strongly rumoured to run as a PL MEP candidate in the upcoming elections, but no decision has been taken yet.

The Labour Party has been in power for over a decade with landslide electoral victories. The Nationalist Party has had no less than three leaders over a tumultuous decade, and seems yet to have found itself following a string of defeats.

Azzopardi Flores’ reaction comes after Torċa’s latest survey found an 8% difference – around 20,000 votes – between the PL and PN if an election were to happen.

Do you think the Labour Party are currently the underdogs?
