A woman has been hospitalised following a traffic accident in Mdina this morning.

Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Ta’ l-Infetti, Mdina, at around 8.45am.

Initial investigations showed that a Mazda MX-30, driven by a 45-year-old woman from Pembroke, had collided with a Toyota Vitz, driven by a 35-year-old woman from Dingli.

A medical team were called to the scene to assist, with an ambulance taking the 35-year-old to Mater Dei for further treatment. She was later certified with grievous injuries.

Police investigations are underway.
