UPDATED: Man Rescued From Drowning At Exiles Identified As 33-Year-Old Belgian

UPDATED at 9:55pm: The Police have thanked the public in helping to identify the man, a 33-year-old Belgian residing in Sliema. As such, the man’s photo has now been removed.

The police have asked the public for help in identifying a man who was saved from drowning at the Exiles beach in Sliema earlier today.

Anyone who has any information about the man or his identity is requested to pass it on the police headquarters on 21224001 or 119 or at any police station.

The man was rescued at around 2:45pm, administered CPR on site and later taken to Mater Dei for treatment.

Several initial reports which claimed the man was dead turned out to be premature.
