She featured on BBC’s Dragons’ Den from 2011 up until 2013. Following this, she began hosting the Channel 4 series known as The Intern, a business series that saw her give three young interns a week’s trial in the job of their dreams.
She also hosted Running the Shop and appeared on ITV’s Loose Women, where she held a role as a panelist.
Fellow ‘Dragon’ Theo Paphitis paid tribute to Devey: “She left us all with some fantastic memories, may she rest in peace. My thoughts are with her family.”
She made her fortune through Pall-Ex, a palletised freight network that later went international, reeling in a turnover of over £100m.
Even so, she was no stranger to charity and even served as the vice-president of the Carers Trust, a charity in the United Kingdom that supports carers.
Rest in peace
