Driver Who Flew Car Over Santa Luċija Roundabout In Gravity Defying Stunt Was Not Drunk And Didn’t Break The Law
A video of a driver straight up flying over the Santa Luċija-Tarxien roundabout in true GTA style went viral over social media earlier this month.
However, while it was certainly an unorthodox way of getting through a roundabout, the police have now confirmed that the driver was not in fact breaking the law.
After the video, which appeared to have been taken from a security camera, was published, Lovin Malta asked the police whether they were investigating it and whether the person behind the wheel was drunk.
A police spokesperson responded that no breaches were found.
“Kindly note that the police went on site and after all investigations were carried out, no breaches were found,” he said. “Also, you may wish to note that no other vehicles were damaged.”
Indeed, while the car can be seen taking a small hit of the roundabout and the pavement on the other side of the road, no lasting damage appears to have been done to anything apart from the car itself.
