A reward of €2,800 has been offered to anyone that can provide any useful information related to the brutal murder of a stray cat in Mqabba.

Misha the cat was a stray that used to be fed by Claire Briffa, who had been taking care of her over the last ten years. Shockingly, Misha was found “brutally murdered” in a brown box in front of Claire’s house in Mqabba, leading to outrage among the island’s cat carer community.

Following the outrage, animal activist Romina Frendo has come forward with a post on Facebook offering a reward of €2,800 for any information regarding who might’ve killed Misha.

The comments under the post are flooded with heartfelt condolences and many hope to find the person or people who might’ve committed such a thing.
