Watch: €5 Million Raised During This Year’s L-Istrina Fundraiser
The final sum of €5,062,415 was collected during this year’s L-Istrina fundraising event, making it the lowest sum since 2016.
Last year, €5,845,000 were collected, while €6,583,542 were raised in 2020.
The record sum was reached in 2018 when the seven million Euro mark was surpassed with the final sum of €7,134,036.
L-Istrina is a fundraising event for the Malta Community Chest Fund which is broadcasted annually on Boxing Day.
The MCCF’s aim is to improve “the quality of life and care of individuals and society in general, without any form of discrimination on the basis of social class, gender identity, age, ability, health, status or religion”.
