Egg-Shaming Of Maltese Stripper Condemned By Equality Minister: ‘It’s Totally Reprehensible’
Equality Minister Edward Zammit Lewis has condemned the way a stripper was pelted with several eggs at a bachelor party.
“This is not a matter of what is legal or not, but of what is acceptable or not,” Zammit Lewis tweeted. “Such behaviour, filmed and then publicly circulated, against a human being is totally reprehensible.”

A video which went viral on WhatsApp this weekend showed a group of men and a child pelting eggs at the stripper and a man, believed to be the groom. The stripper, who is wearing a bikini and facing a wall, can be heard swearing at the men, calling them bastards and savages and telling them they’re hurting her.
However, one of the party organisers was quoted by The Times of Malta as insisting the stripper had given her explicit consent prior to the pelting.
“It was all paid for, with her full consent and without forcing [her],” he wrote, adding the organisers had given her food and drink and paid for her taxi home after the party.
Lovin Malta has asked the police whether it is investigating the video.
