An elderly couple continue to be treated for their injuries at hospital two days after their roof collapsed whilst sleeping. 

The incident happened on 18th March at around 4am at the couple’s residence on Triq San Pawl in Sliema. 

The 75-year-old man and woman were taken to Mater Dei Hospital where it was later certified that they were suffering from grievous injuries.

Two days later, the couple continue to receive treatment for their injuries, Lovin Malta is informed.

On the same day, a 52-year-old father-of-two died after the roof of a public toilet in Dwejra collapsed on him. He was doing maintenance work on the public toilet at the time.
