A 72-year-old man from Birgu was run over by a motorcyclist while crossing the road in Birkirkara last night.

Police said the incident occurred in Valley Road at around 8:30pm and have identified the motorcyclist as a 52-year-old man from Valletta. The pedestrian was rushed to hospital where his injuries were confirmed to be of a grievous nature.
