Elderly Man At Risk Of Dying After Argument Turns Violent In St Paul’s Bay

Earlier this morning, a 70-year-old British man suffered serious injuries following an alleged argument with several other individuals in Triq it-Tartarun, St. Paul’s Bay.

Police responded promptly to the scene and, along with a medical team, provided assistance to the injured man, who was then transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.

Two British men, aged 85 and 72, both St. Paul’s Bay residents, along with a 72-year-old Maltese man from Birżebbuġa, are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has been notified and is leading an inquiry into the incident.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.
