Elderly Man Critically Injured After Crashing Into Wall In Xewkija
A 75-year-old man is in critical condition after he crashed into a wall on Triq l-Imġarr, Xewkija earlier this morning.
Police were informed of a traffic accident at around 7am and upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that an elderly resident of Għajnsielem crashed into a wall while driving a Daihatsu Terios.
A medical team was called to the scene, and the man was transported by ambulance to Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
The moments leading up to the crash are currently unknown. Magistrate Simone Grech was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry while police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
